As Required Functionality for Epicor ERP

Crawford Software has developed an “As Required” solution for Epicor ERP, versions 9 and 10. With our solution, you can flag an item on a bill of material to be consumed “As Required,” eliminate the requirement to issue the material to a job or to have the part planned through MRP generating replenishment requirements.

Simply flag the part to be “As Required” on the Method of Manufacturing or on an individual job. An As Required quantity field is opened for entry, for reporting purposes, and referenced only, the part will not be planned, and will not drive requirements. Standard reorder point, or if you have the common parts vendor managed they can control the restocking. A new engineering bill of material will allow you to print the BOM listing including the “As Required” quantity. The same field is available on the enhanced job traveler and pick list.
